Serving
SixSeeds Projects are initiatives pioneered by families in the SixSeeds partnership. These individual projects are located across the country and vary greatly in scope. But they all mutually benefit other families in the partnership in a variety of ways.
Here’s Six Ways your family can benefit from SixSeeds Projects:
1. Get inspired
Many of our families are attempting creative and courageous projects, often in relative obscurity. We aim to uphold these projects before you, letting their examples inspire all of us. Reading about existing ones — and regularly hearing about new ones — may spark to life some dormant idea of your own!
2. Get advice
We can help arrange opportunities for you to benefit from the experience of other families’ projects. You can get advice on issues such as how to involve the kids, what is involved in starting a foundation, how to involve other families, and a host of other questions.
3. Get a grant
Our pooled giving fund gives grants to family projects started by families in our partnership. If you’re just beginning, our funding can help jump start the effort. And there’s no application, no need to repay, no reporting required.
4. Get publicity
Some family projects require ongoing fundraising from a wider pool. By associating your project with SixSeeds, you get to promote it before our audience. If our audience grows, so will yours.
5. Get services
When a rapidly expanding family project starts becoming a more formal nonprofit, it can have difficulty in finding help in key areas like web development, IT, marketing, and others. Through the SixSeeds partnership with Consulting Within Reach, you will have the potential to access professional and affordable services designed for small nonprofits.
6. Get a movement
When you’re starting a service project, it helps to know that you’re not out there alone. We exist to regularly remind you that you’re part of something bigger. We are a growing movement of families like you, and we’d love for you to join us.
