What We Do

Let’s face it. In a world filled with soccer, school, and Playstation 3, it’s remarkably hard to remember what’s really important in life. We exist as a gentle reminder – both to our readers and to ourselves --- to slow down and think about more than the next thing to on the to-do list. The best way we’ve found to introduce the concept of generosity and service to our kids is to serve together… side by side as a family. At SixSeeds, we hope to inspire and equip families to do just that.

How?

We’re glad you asked. First, we share what we’ve done that has worked and ask you to tell us what you are doing. We hope you consider this your place to talk about your own efforts, disappointments, and successes as we try to live others-centered lives.

We’re very proud of a little program called “Seed Pack-its” – bite sized family activities that you can do on your kitchen table, yet will greatly help others around the block and around the world. Read about our current signature “Seed-Pack-it” here, which helps kids in a squatter community in Tijuana have a better school year.

So, “what we do” is try our best to figure out how to parent deliberately in this very busy world. Won’t you come along?
